Hi, I’m Lillian Li
I am a conceptual editorial illustrator based in Beijing, creating visual stories that transform complex ideas into engaging and thought-provoking images.
My practice focuses on editorial illustration across topics such as science, business, lifestyle, and social issues. Through research, visual metaphors, and narrative-driven compositions, I explore ways to communicate complex concepts with clarity, creativity, and a distinctive visual voice.
Before becoming a full-time illustrator, I spent over a decade working as a senior finance manager. My background in finance has shaped the way I approach creative work, bringing a structured, research-driven mindset to understanding complex subjects and developing visual solutions.
Through illustration, I aim to not only communicate complex ideas clearly but also reveal connections, encourage reflection, and inspire curiosity.
